Indonesia Australia Business Conference 2025 "Connecting People to Opportunities."

This biennial conference is designed to strengthen the economic partnership between Indonesia and Australia by providing a platform where business leaders, policymakers, and industry experts gather to gain invaluable insights into market trends, opportunities, and regulatory landscapes while forging lasting connections through targeted networking and business matching.

The theme “Connecting People to Opportunities” encourages actions and collaborations. The conference emphasises sustainable and inclusive growth, showcasing successful partnerships that create economic returns and positive impacts on the community.

Through this conference, the IABC aims to bring together key stakeholders from both countries to collectively unlock the vast potential of the Indonesia-Australia bilateral relationship for shared success and prosperity.

(This is a facilitated consultation session, optional for conference participants)

The Australia Indonesia Business Council (AIBC), supported by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) through the Southeast Asia FTA Modernisation Grant Program, is leading consultations on the modernisation of the IA-CEPA. Five years since its commencement, IA-CEPA is being reviewed to ensure it continues to support business needs and unlock new trade and investment opportunities. The AIBC has invited Jonathan Gilbert, Minister-Counsellor for Economic, Investment, and Infrastructure, Australian Embassy Jakarta to support this consultation.

This session seeks direct input from industry and business representatives on:
  • Opportunities in the Australia–Indonesia trade and investment relationship.
  • Challenges or barriers in accessing markets or utilising IA-CEPA provisions.
  • Practical suggestions for strengthening the agreement to deliver improved outcomes.

Your insights will inform a report prepared by AIBC and Asialink Business to DFAT to support government consideration on the future of IA-CEPA.
